Privacy Policy

Last updated: [EFFECTIVE DATE]

The short version. Your data is yours. We don't sell it. Each account is private to you. You decide what to enter, and you can export or delete your data. Some information you may enter (notes about substances or your body) can be sensitive — you choose to provide it at your own discretion and risk. Anything you post in community features is public to other users. If you use AI features, what you submit is sent to a third-party AI provider to generate a response. This Service is for research and educational purposes only and is not medical advice.

This Privacy Policy explains how [ENTITY / OWNER NAME] ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the PepWorld website and application (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this Policy and our Terms of Use.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information. If you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication details needed to log you in.
  • Information you enter. The peptides, doses, logs, notes, cycles, lab values, body-composition entries, settings, and other content you choose to record in the Service.
  • Community content. If you use community features, the posts, replies, votes, images, and username you choose to share. This content and your username are visible to other users (see Section 3).
  • AI inputs. If you use AI features, the prompts, messages, text, and images you submit, which are sent to our AI provider to generate a response (see Section 4).
  • Payment information. If you subscribe, payments are processed by our third-party payment processor (e.g., Stripe). We receive limited billing details (such as subscription status and the last digits/brand of your card); we do not store your full card number.
  • Technical & usage data. Standard information such as device/browser type, approximate region, and basic logs that our hosting and infrastructure providers process to operate and secure the Service.

2. Sensitive information you enter

Information you choose to record may relate to your health, body, or substances of interest. You are not required to provide this information, and you provide it voluntarily and at your own discretion. Where required by law, by entering such information you consent to our processing it solely to provide the Service to you. We do not use it to diagnose, treat, or advise you, and the Service is not a medical device or healthcare provider.

3. Community content (public)

Community features are public to other PepWorld users and may be visible more broadly. Anything you post — including your username, posts, replies, images, and votes — can be seen, saved, and quoted by others, and may remain visible even after you delete your copy (for example, where others have replied or shared). Do not post personal, identifying, confidential, or sensitive information about yourself or anyone else. We may retain records of community activity for moderation, safety, and legal compliance. See our Community Guidelines.

4. AI features & data

If you use AI features (available on certain tiers), the text and images you submit are transmitted to a third-party AI provider (for example, OpenAI) to generate a response, and the response is returned to you. We do this only to provide the feature you requested. Please do not submit other people's personal information, or anything confidential or unlawful, to AI features. Our AI provider processes inputs under its own terms; under standard API terms, such providers typically do not use submitted content to train their general models and retain it only briefly for abuse monitoring, but we do not control the provider's practices. We may keep a copy of your AI conversations and analyses in your account so you can revisit them, and you can delete them.

5. How we use information

  • To provide, operate, secure, and maintain the Service and your account;
  • To process subscriptions, trials, and payments;
  • To enable community features and to moderate, filter, and enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines;
  • To provide AI features you request;
  • To respond to your requests and provide support;
  • To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or technical issues; and
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the content you enter for advertising.

6. Local (on-device) mode

In on-device (local) mode, your data is stored only in your browser on your device and is not transmitted to us; we cannot access, sync, or recover it. On-device data is not encrypted by default, so avoid using the local mode for sensitive information on shared or public devices. Clearing your browser storage, or losing the device, will delete the data. Use the in-app export feature to keep your own backup. (Note: account, community, and AI features require cloud mode and do involve transmitting data to us and our providers as described above.)

7. How information is shared

We share information only as needed to run the Service: with the service providers listed below; with other users, for content you choose to post in community features; to comply with law, legal process, or enforce our Terms; to protect the rights, safety, and security of users or the public; or in connection with a business transfer (e.g., merger or acquisition), subject to this Policy. We do not sell or rent your personal information.

8. Service providers

We rely on reputable third parties to operate the Service, which may process information on our behalf, including:

  • Hosting / CDN (e.g., Cloudflare) — to serve the site.
  • Authentication & database (e.g., Supabase) — to manage accounts and store your account, community, and AI-history data securely.
  • Payments (e.g., Stripe) — to process subscriptions.
  • AI model provider (e.g., OpenAI) — to power AI assistant and analysis features, processing the inputs you submit to those features.

Each provider processes data under its own terms and privacy policy.

9. Data retention

We retain account, content, community, and AI-history data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, then delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period, unless a longer period is required by law (e.g., for tax or accounting) or to enforce our Terms, resolve disputes, or maintain safety and moderation records. You can request deletion at any time (see below).

10. Your choices & rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can:

  • Export your data using the in-app export feature;
  • Delete your data by deleting it in-app, resetting on-device data, deleting your community posts and AI history, or contacting us to delete your account; and
  • Contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL] to exercise any right. We will respond as required by applicable law.

11. Cookies & local storage

The Service uses essential browser storage (such as local storage and, where applicable, cookies) to keep you signed in, remember settings, and operate the app. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear this storage in your browser, though doing so may sign you out or remove locally stored data.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (including encryption in transit via HTTPS, access controls, and per-user database isolation) to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You use the Service at your own risk and are responsible for safeguarding your password.

13. Children

The Service is intended only for adults 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

14. International users

The Service may be operated from, and information processed in, countries other than yours, which may have different data-protection laws. By using the Service you consent to such processing and transfer.

15. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
